Headless platform, B2B access, multistore, stock connection

For fashion brand Saboroma we built a headless e-commerce platform on Shopify: B2B wholesale with approved buyers, two stores in euro and dollar, and stock feeding both stores from the warehouse count. The launch is scheduled for the coming days. Below you can read which problem it solves and how we built it.

The problem

Why SEO keeps breaking down

Saboroma is a fashion brand with a history going back to 1976, its own collections and sales through stores and showrooms in multiple countries. But selling to business buyers, the retailers and wholesalers who buy entire collections each season, ran through email, WhatsApp and pdf price lists.

Nobody had real time view of stock. A buyer asked about availability, someone at the office looked it up in a spreadsheet, and by the time the answer arrived the lot was sometimes already gone. Prices in euro and dollar side by side did not exist, and the stock hanging in the stores was not connected to what the wholesale side sold.

Wholesale through email, WhatsApp and pdf price lists, with no system behind it

No real time stock view, every availability question meant manual work

Prices in euro and dollar did not exist side by side

Store stock and wholesale stock were two closed off worlds

Unknown buyers saw purchase prices that were not meant for them

The solution

What we built

We built a headless e-commerce platform on Next.js with Shopify as the engine, in an architecture with two stores: one for Europe in euro and one for the United States in dollar. Visitors are routed to the right store automatically through location detection. The launch is scheduled for the coming days.

The B2B side works on application: traders register with company details and VAT number, get approved by the organisation and only then see prices, cart and checkout. For stock, the warehouse stock count is the source: an import from the administration fills both stores, and a synchronisation layer keeps stock between the stores and sales on one line.

B2B access on application

Traders register with company name, contact details, country and VAT number. The organisation approves, and only then does the account become active as a buyer. Unknown visitors can browse, but see no purchase prices.

Prices behind the gate

Catalogue, stock and product details are public, purchase prices and checkout only for approved buyers. On approval the link with the customer account in Shopify is set automatically.

Two stores, two currencies

A European store in euro and an American one in dollar, with prices managed per market and visitors routed to the right store through location detection. One storefront, two fully separated trading worlds.

The stock count as source of truth

The warehouse count per model, colour and size is imported and fills the catalogue and stock in both stores in one movement. Selling without stock has been made technically impossible.

Stock matrix per product

Every product page shows availability per colour and size in one matrix, with warnings on nearly sold out combinations. Buyers see at a glance what is actually in stock, instead of waiting for an answer.

Stock synchronised between stores

When one store sells, stock in the other is updated. Every synchronisation is logged, so nothing can ever sync twice or endlessly, and every change is traceable.

Product data cleaned up with our own AI

Raw colour names from the administration are normalised with our own AI model into a small number of filterable colour families, and product descriptions are drafted automatically from the source data. Consistent across hundreds of products.

Selection list for buyers

Buyers compose a selection across the catalogue and export it as a spreadsheet or printable list. The classic buying process, but directly connected to live stock.

Stores and showrooms findable

A store finder with map shows the flagship stores and retail points, including the four showrooms. The brand story, from 1976 to the new collection, runs as a thread through the site.

“We have been buying from Saboroma for years and did everything by phone. Now I see on screen what is in the warehouse per colour and size, prepare my selection for the order meeting and export the list for my colleague. What used to be an afternoon of calls is now fifteen minutes.”
